Welcome to HRCE Hang!
So many community partnerships! Not only teaming up with the Hesston Public Library to provide quality after school programs, we have area groups who want to help! The first two Tuesdays of every month, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) with Seniors will be with us. STEAM with seniors combines retired, experienced folks with the young and eager to learn. They will be setting up different projects and experiments to try out. You can check out their website at STEAMwSeniors Inc. The next partnership is Brityne Rucker, Program Assistant with the Harvey County K-State Extension Office. The office has created a 4-H School Enrichment Program, were they will go anywhere in the state and educate kids about where their food comes from... and how to make delicious food! She will be here September 26 to show the Hang “How to Make Ice Cream in a Bag”! If her name sounds familiar, Brityne wears many hats in the community, she is also “This Morning” and “An Eye on Agriculture” anchor on KWCH Ch 12. We will try to have one Enrichment a month. We hope that everyone has had an enjoyable time! If you have not yet, check out our Facebook Page Hesston Recreation & Community Education | Hesston KS! There are some great videos and photos of the kids! |
